Hive inspection of the KBA overwintered hives with Amelia and Carol. We will be checking for laying queens in new colonies and making 1:1 syrup. Please bring a closed quart container if you’d like to take some home!

World Bee Day is celebrated in memoriam of the pioneer in beekeeping, Anton Janša of Slovania, born on May 20th, 1734. The purpose of the international day is to raise awareness on the importance of pollinators and their role in the ecosystem.
